Master Plan Audit
Mohammed Bin Rashid Gardens
Dubai, UAE 2012

At Dar Al-Handasah, I served as Resident Project Coordinator in Dubai for the master plan and infrastructure audit of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Gardens project, including a four-month residency in Dubai. The proposed master plan* was a 980-ha environment-friendly and urban greening development of golf and polo residential communities, mixed-use areas, a university hospital, and theme parks.

* CivicArts / Eric R. Kuhne & Associates designed the original master plan.

** Meraas Development LLC is now part of Dubai Holding.

As Project Coordinator, I managed client coordination between Meraas’s** CEO and Dar’s design team in London and Beirut. This included liaising with Dubai’s local authorities, coordinating between Dar’s area office and design centres, preparing the technical proposal, and contributing to the master plan audit and the overall project management.

Dar Al-Handasah is a leading international engineering and design consultancy. With a team of around 8,000 professionals, Dar operates 47 Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe offices, with five principal design centres in Beirut, Cairo, London, Pune, and Amman.
